My little Picasso & Rembrandt

Well those titles may be far from the mark but I have found a wonderful time consuming activity that both of the kids LOVE!
I had a super old bed sheet that I have been hanging on to for a while that I let them make their masterpieces on I bought some washable paints and some paintbrushes and I let them go to town.
Since it is washable it comes off the floors if there are drips, and off of the kids when they paint themselves.
Just as a precaution I do strip them down to their diaper or underwear.
As you can see they have a great time and I get a few moments to blog or get the laundry sorted or whatever..

Swimming in San Diego!

Well guess what...yep you guessed it. We made another trek out to San Diego this year as we do every year. We absolutely love it there and wish we could spend a lot more time there than we do. Something about school and work always gets in the way though :(

Anyway - while we were there the kids developed a healthy love for the pool, Garrett especially.

Easter Fun!

The kids had so much fun this year with Easter. Garrett was so into running around getting as many eggs as he could.

He did leave some so that Makayla could join in.



It was really great to see both of their excitement as they opened their eggs and saw all of the candy plus the movies that the Eater Bunny had left for them.

Super Spoiled kids but we sure love em.

My Least Favorite Thing

I have a variety of things that I dislike. Snow, tasty foods always being loaded in fat, childrens music.
Today I decided on my number one dislike and unfortunately I realized this after it happened today.
Going along with my first dislike mentioned it snowed today. Lots..ok just a couple inches but it happened in a short amount of time. So being the nice wife that I am I went out and shoveled the driveway. I took my cute Suzi dog with me so she could run and play outside while I was out with her. She also prefers the front yard so this gave her another good opportunity.
What do you think the first thing she did was?
She ran out into the yard, found a previous pile of....well there is no way around it. POO and rolled in it.
Disgusting!!!
Worst part, I didn't have time to give her a bath before it was time to load the kids up and take them to Grandmas so I could head out to school.
I just gave her a snow rub down and called it good. While she doesn't have anymore of the nasty stuff on her she smells HORRIBLE. I kept gagging every time I smelled her. Guess I know what I am doing when I get home from school today.
Ah the joys of being a pet owner.
At least I now know what my least favorite thing is...

Christmas!

Christmas was really fun this year. Mostly due to the fact that Garrett was really into it

and as Makayla always copies whatever he does she was excited as well.
This is right before we gave them their stockings.Garrett thought it was neat that Santa and the reindeer ate the snacks that we left for them.
We had a really great year this year filled with lots of friends and family. Plus it is always nice to spend time with those who you love the most :)
